What is Message Centre?

BankSA will now be able to communicate changes to your accounts through the Message Centre. Once you log into Internet Banking you will see your Mailbox, which from time to time will have a new message to tell you about changes to terms and conditions or other account features.

What type of messages will I receive?

You will receive important information regarding your accounts, such as changes to account terms and conditions.

How do I view my messages?

To enter your Message Centre and check for new messages, simply go to your ‘Account Details’ screen located on the left hand menu once you’ve logged onto Internet Banking and then either;

  • Select ‘Message Centre’ from the left navigation bar, or
  • Select the envelope icon from the top toolbar. A closed envelope means you have unread message/s in your mailbox, an open envelope means you have no unread messages.

How can I delete my messages?

Simply select the message you wish to delete and follow the instructions. Please note unread messages cannot be deleted.

Am I able to copy, print or save my messages?

Once you have opened the message, you can select copy. This function copies the content of the message on to the clipboard. You can then open another application such as Microsoft word and paste the data into the application.

Can I retrieve deleted/expired message(s)?

Messages will not remain in Message Centre after they have been deleted or expire. Please ensure that you read all new messages before they expire. The expiry date of the message can be located under the field ‘Expires On’ in the message table.

Can I receive my statements online?

Yes. You can switch to eStatements online via Internet Banking. You can also view, print and save your statements online.
